SPEECH SOUND DISORDERS
A speech sound disorder may occur when a child has difficulty saying sounds and words that are typically considered to be developmentally appropriate. Speech sound errors affect a child's ability to communicate effectively. Research also shows a correlation between speech sound errors and difficulties in early reading skills. Village Speech Therapy offers services working on articulation, phonological disorders, and Childhood Apraxia of Speech.
SPEECH & LANGUAGE SCREENINGS/ EVALUATIONS
To assess what your child needs in terms of speech/language therapy services, we offer comprehensive communication evaluations. Standardized and non-standardized instruments are used to provide an individualized look at your child's communicative strengths and challenges. Those results then lead us to developing therapeutic plans to best support the speech and language development of your child.

Village Speech Therapy, PLLC also works with local preschools and daycare centers to offer speech/language screenings which may help determine the need for further evaluation.
LANGUAGE THERAPY
Children learn best through play. Village Speech Therapy offers expressive and receptive language therapy services using a variety of structured and child-led strategies to maximize language development and communication skills. Services may be family-centered or more individualized, depending on what your child needs.
